After 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3, what are the differences between 2...e6 and 2...Nf6?
Black plays 2...e6 8% of the time, 2...Nf6 77% of time.
It seems that by playing 2...Nf6, Black keeps open the option of playing ...Bg4 and ...Bf5 (which would be the Slav if White plays c4 and Black ...

What do QGA players usually play when White doesn't play exactly 1.d4 d5 2.c4?
If Black plays the KID, then Black can play Nf6, g6, Bg7, O-O, d6 against everything.
If Black plays the QGD, then Black can play d5, e6, Nf6, Be7, O-O against everything.

Marshall Defense 1.d4 d5 2.c4 Nf6 — transpositions
I know that the theoretical refutation of 1.d4 d5 2.c4 Nf6?! is supposed to be 3.cxd5 Nxd5 4.Nf3.
Perhaps Black doesn't fear the refutation because he intends a gambit such as 3.cxd5 c6?! or 3.cxd5 ...
