I have played chess so many times, understood tactics (pins, discovered check, overloading, deflection, skewer), but iI never understood clearly the positional play. I have noticed not many tutorials available that explains positional play.

  1. What exactly is positional play? Why is it important?
  2. Please can you show some nice examples to understand the concept?
