I am a senior lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Kent (UK) where I teach object-oriented programming, amongst other things. I am author of the pgn-extract PGN manipulation software and a UCI-based analyser tools, both of which are open source. I was a serious club-level chess player for quite a lot of my life but haven't found much time in recent years to pursue this.
