I've played various lines against the French, but I'm considering just using 2. e5. I'm just curious about how others feel about the line, and what players consider the best line. While studying I came across line 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 c5 4.Qg4, a different move from 4.Nf3 interesting games from this, what are your thoughts

Additional: regarding 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 c5 4.Qg4, I would say this is dubious and at least loses a tempo, e.g.
