Its important to not have a very outdated engine which sometimes may happen if we don't pay attention to it. When we are dealing with a free engine such as Stockfish its has no costs to update it so we should do it whenever we can. However, for a paid engine it might not compensate to update to the latest version if you have a recent one. | |

At the same I am participating in many tournaments to improve my game and we practice match at Club Level to get better performance in tournaments. So as per your idea I have to update my knowledge by purchasing higher versions of engines as the engines also get updated with new ideas. Thank you Sir for your wonderful answer. | |
