I used to play around 2000 Elo, but mostly switched to Go for great strategic games. Give it a try, you might well fall for it too !

Engines won chess, so how about playing Arimaa ?

I dislike opening theory, but do enjoy some fancy openings :

I premove 1… ♞f6 with black (hence Alekhine and Grunfeld defenses), and vary between 1. ♙b4 (Sokolsky's opening), ♙c4 and ♘f3 with white. Or some random funny pseudo-gambit.
